Motherhood Meaning AND The Lessons I Learned In This Journey

motherhood meaning

I never thought or gave too much weight-age to mother’s day, motherhood meaning until I became MOM myself.
We all moms are same and at the same time very different from each other and i think we all realize the value of motherhood only after becoming mother.

This mom of 2 kids is still in search of her own motherhood meaning. With the mother’s day around the corner today I thought why not discuss and share what BEING MOM means to me.

The most important thing which I learned after becoming a mother was to love unconditionally. When my daughter was born, I learned how to love without any conditions, and it doubled when my son was born.

I grew up as a better and a mature person than I was. I often think that having more children helps you to understand and develop more of unconditional love. When my daughter was born, I loved her more than anything in the world, but now as my second child happened I realized it has multiplied.

From my pregnancy days and post it I did every bit on my own. When my daughter was born as soon as I was back at home, I did everything on my own. And I feel proud of myself that I did well as a mom as I see my daughter being a living proof of it.

Whenever I (or we as a parent) sometimes make our children unhappy as we refuse or just overlook what they demand or ask, they cry for a while but forget about it. Especially, my daughter, she forgives me easily and loves me even more. She made me realize that getting over a situation or a problem is not that difficult as we adults think it is. You just need to get your space and get over it. It is that simple.

We must forgive people as easily as we get angry or sad about something.

Motherhood has transformed me into a completely different person of what I was. When my daughter Adhisthatri was born, I decided to continue with my job. It was very difficult initially, but the love with which my daughter reciprocated helped me in keeping my spirits high while I balance work and household work along as I raise her.

She made me realize some of the best values, love, comfort, and respect. She has given me the opportunity to learn about myself, and changed my perspective about life in general.

As my daughter (and now my second child son) grows I had learned few things about myself and life. The world is full of learning, and each day you get a chance to learn something new. Both of my kids learn something new every day and I get inspired by them.

  1. Our kids are so enthusiastic and exploitative learning and discover new things every day, even if it is hard to learn. So what if you learned how to tie shoe laces, or to climb the window and catch decoration pieces on the shelf.

  2. You can dance any time of the day, whenever and whatever the reason is. Just like the cartoon shows which are telecasted 24 hours in a day. They are enjoyed whether it is day or night. So whatever you feel like doing, even if it is midnight dance when you want to.

  3. Laugh like mad and any time for any reason.

  4. Always remember to lock the doors of washroom if you don’t like somebody to accompany you there (I guess most of the mommas would relate and

  5. There is no limit to what you can be or follow a profession. You can become a hairdresser or a fashionista in a day. I may sound crazy, but this is true.

  6. Went out how you feel- happy, sad, feel like crying, etc. Believe me, it’s a great way to reduce stress and feel happy.

  7. Never miss any opportunity to cuddle so be it thunderstorm.

  8. If you are a momma you would be the most knowledgeable person on earth. There are questions and answers and more questions every day.

  9. If you lose a friend, don’t worry make new. Life doesn’t end if somebody isn’t your friend anymore.

  10.  Make stories and let your imagination enrich them with as many colors as possible. Cry your lungs out and then go to sleep when you wake up the world would be nice and bright again.

So these are what my kids have taught me and made me a sensitive and a better person that I’m now. You guys must be thinking why I’m writing all this today. Well, mother’s day, according to me is not only about moms, it’s a journey, an experience which teaches us, and sometimes makes us reflect upon our actions and of our kids.

I have learned a lot from my tiny squishes and i am sure you would also have. Motherhood meaning is same for everyone, its just the way we see it gets differ.
